Healing and Peace On Earth

For my last blog post of 2022 I thought of a few subjects: the pagan history behind Christmas, New Year's Resolutions and so on, but, i decided on the topic of a Christmas miracle. ME.

Why am I a miracle? A walking, talking full length frigging miracle?

Well, let me give you the back story quickly.

In 2012 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Life drastically changed for the worse and for many years, my health declined. The pain was tortuous and I lost the ability to properly care for my family. The medications the doctors prescribed only made me feel more tired and never fully relieved the pain. I gave up on Western Medicine despite being a nurse for many years.

After attempting to go the traditional route, I turned to more unconventional methods like herbal supplements. I ruled that acupuncture could possibly treat fibromyalgia after years of research. My aunt gave me the money for the initial consultation fee because I could no longer work due to my illness.

I started acupuncture in 2014 and it helped me at least start back working but. after two years, the treatment plateaued. I could work again but I still in constant physical pain and it drained my physical energy. I stopped the acupuncture. My specialist referred me to Reiki treatments. I had never heard of Reiki but I kept it in my research rolodex.

I moved to Las Vegas in 2018 because I could no longer tolerate the brutal winters of Chicago. My legs and knees burned like they were frostbitten every time I stepped outside.

While I was residing in Vegas, not only did I receive Reiki, I became a Reiki Practitioner. It was a bumpy road but one that I am glad I traveled. Reiki represents spiritual consciousness binding with life force energy. It did what I thought it would do. It gave me my life back.

It has been two years since my journey began and I am now, healthy enough that I recently moved back home to Chicago.

A short while ago, we experienced a winter storm and the temperatures fell to below zero. Not only did I endure this experience with grace, I even worked outside during the storm. I am ecstatic to report no major pain or setbacks.

I am still in the process of healing my body. Reiki is not an overnight fix but it does work. It works on all levels of healing, not just the physical body. It has helped and healed my mental, emotional and spiritual bodies as well.

Now, when I hear someone going on and on about an illness, I want to grab them by their shoulders, shake them, and tell them about the miraculous healing of Reiki energy.

I know it is not a main stream topic so I will continue to put out blogs like this one so that people will know that they don't have to limit their lives to being sick.

Reiki CAN heal. I am a living, breathing testimony to this. I beg you, do not just take my word for it. Do your own research.

If you are reading this and think you have to live with ailments like headaches, backaches, anxiety and depression, I have news for you. You don't.
