AMAZING AMETHYST

Amethyst is one of my favorite crystals. It is a light purple, translucent, dainty color but I like it because purple is associated with royalty. I don’t think that is a coincidence either because the violet color is associated with the crown chakra. The crown chakra is the highest chakra in the seven chakra chart. I suspect that some royal person knew this and adapted this color for that reason.

It is also my favorite because the crown chakra is the chakra of spirituality. It represents our direct connection with Divine Source aka God. Amethyst is part of the quartz crystal family of semi-precious gemstones. It is very powerful and has a host of different uses.

Amethyst is a very cerebral stone and it works well for the mental/emotional, spiritual and physical planes. Spiritually, it is a good stone to use in meditation. It helps open the gateways between our world and the spirit world. Opening this gateway improves knowledge, spiritual connection and helps with creativity.

Mentally/emotionally, it is a very calming stone. It calms your mood and helps clear your mind. Amethyst can help invoke peace and balance. It also eliminates impatience. For that reason alone, I need to be wearing it daily, 24/7, 365.

It is a soother. It has the ability to improve intellectual and cerebral thought and help critically analyze emotions. This can advocate a better connection with a romantic partner, probably because you are so calm that killing them is no longer an option. If that’s the case I need to wear two daily, 24/7, 365.

Amethyst can help relieve stress which, in turn, helps with grief and trapped negative emotions. The emotional stability provided quickens our inner strength.

Physically, it can help enhance physical vitality and strengthen the immune system. It is most helpful to the adrenal glands, reproductive system and the heart. Amethyst helps the lymphatic system in the detoxification person of the body.

Fun Fact: The ancient Greeks wore amethyst and carved drinking vessels from it in the belief that is would prevent intoxication. So don’t ask no questions when you see me with a big ass purple glassy looking cup on Friday night! Just know…I plan to drink allllllll night.

The best way to clean Amethyst is with water. Pure water is the absolute best. Some examples of that are spring water, ocean water or river water. However, if you are not by any of these good ol’ tap water will work too. Run it under the tap water, lightly brush it with sea salt and then rinse it under tap water. Always remember to set the intention of your crystal when you get it and clean it as well.

New moon energy will strengthen and vitalize it. Burying it in the ground for a few days will also rejuvenate and recharge Amethyst.

Since it is a cerebral stone the best place to wear it on your body is your head. That means the earrings on the website are just what you need.
